Wine box or travel voucher? Anyone can do that. But a borehole that provides water for thirsty elephants on their long trek through the semi-desert of Botswana? That’s a gift that really makes sense, is sustainable and will definitely make my wife happy,’ thought\u00a0<\/a>Lutz Bertling and without further ado contacted the SAVE Wildlife Conservation Fund. There, everything was set in motion so that he could present his wife Manuela Raufeisen-Bertling with the certificate as patron on her birthday. The gift hit the mark, because both share a deep love for elephants.<\/p>\n

“Elephants have been my passion for a long time. I’m happy to be able to contribute to rebuilding their migration corridors with SAVE,” says Manuela. A few months later, Lutz then also dedicated his own, round birthday to the good cause. Instead of presents, he asked his guests to donate to SAVE’s species conservation projects. Almost 6,000 euros were collected.<\/p>\n

No matter whether private individuals or business people: Those who want to be inspired by the Bertling’s will find many ideas at the SAVE Wildlife Conservation Fund on how they can support people, animals and nature.
